2015 Year in Review

Fort Eustis Family Homes thanks our residents for another great year!
2015 has truly been an eventful year for Fort Eustis Family Homes. While Resident Specialists were busy signing leases and welcoming new residents to our community, LifeWorks Coordinators planned innovative and engaging events, and Maintenance Technicians kept homes in tip-top shape. It’s been a great year, and we’d like to take the time to thank the community at Fort Eustis Family Homes for their ongoing support and recap some of this year’s highlights.

This year, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation provided 53 academic scholarships to children of active-duty military members residing at BBC-managed properties.

This year we had many community updates including:
- We welcomed 432 new residents this year!
- We have finished construction and welcomed residents into Marseilles Village.
- Our Community Manager, Christina Sonnier, won the national RCI Unsung Hero Award.

We also welcomed ten new faces to the team and congratulated a few with well-deserved promotions. Be sure to stop by the Community Management Office and say hello!

Our LifeWorks program strives to strengthen community relationships by providing events for residents of all ages to engage in a variety of social and learning activities. Programs are held throughout the year and are free for our residents. In 2015, Fort Eustis Family Homes hosted more than 70 events!

Our most memorable event was Woofstock, our resident dog event that attracted more than 100 residents.

Residents and staff have been busy collecting TerraCycle donations. This year, our TerraCycle points totaled over $200, which we will donate in 2016 to the Wounded Warrior Program. Other sustainability achievements include receiving the Marseilles LEEDS Star Award.

An enhanced PCS rewards program has been rolled out across all military properties managed by Balfour Beatty Communities and we welcome all PCSing residents to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are a current resident and choose to live with another BBC-managed community, our staff will assist you with a streamlined transfer and you can receive a $100 reward!

In 2015, we also entered into a partnership with other military housing agencies to make PCS moves easier. No matter the installation, we can refer you to your new housing management office – whether a Balfour Beatty Communities, Winn, United or Corvias community. More information will be provided during the move-out process.

At Fort Eustis Family Homes, we are committed to providing high quality homes in welcoming, safe communities so that residents have a positive experience living with us.
